The club calls it a "triple podium finish", and flags that one of the three medals came in the 19+ Open category. Pre-event coverage by Warta Oriental listed Open as a Mixed Doubles category, with RM5,000 for its champion.

An Inaugural Event in Kota Kinabalu

The Borneo International Pickleball Open ran 16 to 18 Oct at The Good Club in Tanjung Aru, Kota Kinabalu, as the first edition of the event. The Jesselton Times reported some 536 participants from Malaysia, including Sabah, Singapore, the United States, China and Taiwan. Borneo Kelab Rekreasi Pickleball organised it. Warta Oriental's pre-event coverage names the Sabah Pickleball Association as the sanctioning body.

An Earlier Win, Announced 30 Sep

On 30 Sep, the club announced that Ryan had won Mixed Doubles at the Pickle Collective Sunday Slam. The results graphic lists the division as under 3.499 and names Belinda Tan as his partner. The same post said Ryan had been playing pickleball for about nine months.
