Format and rules players should know
From round robin to the quarterfinals, matches are one game to 15 points with no deuce. Semi-finals and the final are best of three games to 15, again with no deuce. Each round-robin group has 3 or 4 pairs, and the top 1 or 2 pairs advance, depending on the draw.
DUPR level is enforced. Players below the 2.5 level must hold a DUPR rating of 2.500 or lower, and NR players can only enter NR categories. Entrants must submit their DUPR profile at registration. If a player's reliability is below 50%, the organisers will recheck the rating when registration closes, and a player over the limit can be moved up or disqualified.
Other terms from the rules slides: partners can be changed before registration closes but not after, there are no refunds, and a protest over someone's DUPR level needs a RM200 deposit. Categories short of entries can be merged, cancelled or have their cash prizes reduced.
Two prize figures
The poster's RM20,000+ is a total worth of prizes. The cash figures on the prize slide add up to RM14,800.
The Grand Finale follows the 5.0 edition on 15-16 Aug 2026.
