Seven Sponsors Behind the Bigger Pool
When Reserve Pickle & Padel first opened registration in July, the pool sat at RM10,000+ and the venue was still actively recruiting sponsors, calling for brands across sports, wellness, and lifestyle categories to come on board through court branding, booth activations, product sampling, or prize sponsorship. By early August, seven had signed on: @veloheart.clinic, @duplex_malaysia, @dermally.my, @spoton.asia, @dododots, @fuelyour.form, and @shae.co.my.
That sponsor roster is what carried the pool from RM10,000+ to RM22,000+, and it shows up directly in the placement prizes too. Beyond straight cash, winners in the Mixed Novice bracket also walk away with wellness vouchers, gift sets, and equipment tied to specific sponsors, the kind of layered prize structure that a small club tournament rarely puts together on its own.

A Wider Net Now That the DUPR Cap Is Gone
Reserve Pickle & Padel also loosened its eligibility rules earlier this month. Both divisions originally capped each individual player's DUPR rating on top of the combined team limit, Mixed Novice players needed an individual rating under 2.999, Mixed Intermediate players under 4.199. That individual cap has been removed entirely. The combined team limits stay the same, 5.499 for Mixed Novice and 7.199 for Mixed Intermediate, but a stronger player can now partner with a less experienced one as long as the pair's combined rating still clears the bar.
It is a practical fix aimed at anyone who was locked out of registering because of the old individual cap, and it widens the pool of eligible teams heading into a tournament that already has a bigger prize purse to fight for.
Where the Rally Plays Out
Reserve Pickle & Padel is a Kota Damansara indoor complex built around seven pickleball courts, five standard and two VIP, alongside four padel courts, a recovery room with an ice plunge and sauna, and an in-house cafe. The venue has run its own tournaments before, including the Reserve Queens Cup earlier this year, and the Rally is its next step up in scale, both in prize money and in the number of outside brands it has pulled into the event.
