Divisions & Format
The field splits into three Mixed Doubles brackets by combined team DUPR, each run as a group stage into a knockout bracket:
- Combined DUPR 5.599
- Combined DUPR 6.299
- Combined DUPR 7.099
Each player can only play once per match, and groups run 4 teams each, with the top 2 from every group advancing to the Quarter Final knockout stage. Unrated players are scored at DUPR 2.5 for the combined-team calculation, and a one-minute timeout is allowed per match. Scoring runs rally-to-21 with no deuce at every stage, from the Round Robin through the Final, and a Round Robin tie is broken first by points difference, then by total points won.
Prize Pool
- Champion: RM5,000 + Prizes + Medal
- 1st Runner Up: RM3,000 + Prizes + Medal
- 2nd Runner Up: RM1,500 + Prizes + Medal
- 3rd Runner Up: RM1,000 + Prizes + Medal
The tournament's own graphic shows this exact payout structure under its Team Event heading spanning all three combined-DUPR brackets; how the full RM28,888 splits across the three individual divisions is not broken out separately in the tournament's own posts.
The real draw beyond the bracket is the noon exhibition. Chan Peng Soon and Goh Liu Ying, Malaysia's Rio 2016 Olympic silver medallists in mixed doubles badminton, and Aaron Chia, world champion in men's doubles, will play an exhibition match and Meet & Greet alongside pickleball player Sabrina Gee, who has competed at events including the PPA Asia 500 Sansan Tokyo Open. Three of Malaysia's most decorated badminton names crossing over to a pickleball court, even briefly, is the kind of exposure a local club tournament rarely gets on its own.
