69 Winners Down, 200 to Go: MyPickleball's Merdeka Lucky Draw

RM100,000 is the total value MyPickleball put behind its 269 Merdeka Grand Lucky Draw, and as of this week, 69 of those prizes already have a name attached. The retailer's first live draw, held on 26 August, gave away paddles and merchandise to 69 customers, with the remaining 200 prizes still to be handed out in a second and final draw on 25 September.

The number 269 isn't arbitrary. MyPickleball built the campaign around two milestones landing in the same window: its own second anniversary and Malaysia's 69th year of independence. Two plus sixty-nine, spelled out in the promotion's own name.

What's Actually in the Prize Pool

Across three prize reveals in July and August, MyPickleball named specific paddles rather than a vague "assorted gear" list. The first batch, revealed 23 July, led with a JOOLA Pro V Rocket, a Selkirk Boomstik Canyon Clay, and a Franklin C45 in the Anna Leigh Waters signature colourway. The second batch, on 1 August, added a limited-edition Coral Rainbow paddle, a Selkirk SLK ERA Power REGAL Limited Edition, and a CRBN 4 TF Genesis. The third, on 7 August, brought in a Six Zero Ruby Pro, more Selkirk Boomstik Raw Carbon units, and an RPM Friction Widebody. Between them, the 200 paddles and 69 merchandise prizes span most of the major brands sold in-store.

How the Entries Work

Entry is tied directly to spending: every RM300 on a single receipt earns one lucky draw entry, and any single receipt over RM1,200 earns an extra entry on top. The promotion runs from 22 July to 22 September, valid both online and at MyPickleball's Strand Mall (Kota Damansara) and USJ1 outlets. Winners from the first draw have until 31 October to collect their prizes in person at the Strand Mall Super Store, or arrange courier delivery at their own cost.

Pro player Xin Lim gave the campaign an extra push mid-run, giving away 20 free entries to her own followers ahead of the first draw, a small but real signal that the promotion had reach beyond MyPickleball's own audience.

For anyone who hasn't won yet, the maths hasn't changed: any entry number already collected during the promotion period stays valid for the 25 September final draw, when the bulk of the pool, 200 winners, gets decided in one go.
