Aiko Yoshitomi Reaches Quarterfinals and Round of 16 at KL Cup

Aiko Yoshitomi advanced to the Women's Doubles quarterfinals with Wang Beck Vall and the Mixed Doubles round of 16 with Kenta Miyoshi at the PPA Asia 1000 Leapmotor Kuala Lumpur Cup.

She paired the results with a personal reflection on a year of mental training work with her coach, Shuichi Tsuji, describing a comeback win this week from a difficult score line and a teammate thanking her for staying positive under pressure.

This KL Cup run extends a real hot stretch. She has taken women's doubles bronze at back-to-back PPA Asia stops, first at the Leapmotor Singapore Open, then the MB Ho Chi Minh City Open, both times partnering Kei, with her mixed doubles results improving alongside it, a quarterfinal in Singapore and a semifinal in Vietnam. She signed with the PPA Tour in February, backed by JOOLA and a roster of Japanese sponsors.
