The Kamito Global Team roster at the Leapmotor Kuala Lumpur Cup

From Malaysia and Beyond: Kamito's Global Team Delivers at the KL Cup

Andrew Lee

Kamito Pickleball MY entered the PPA Asia 1000 Leapmotor Kuala Lumpur Cup 2026 with a multi player Global Team, led by Alix Truong, Rob Stirling and Joma Pague, and built around Kamito Malaysia players and brand ambassadors from several countries under one roster.

The full named lineup: Truong, Stirling, Pague, Bryan Lin, Ethan Chan, Jaymie Ngow, Eugene Tai and Sheldon Beh. It is a real cross section of the brand's roster, not a single sponsored athlete making an appearance.

The Roster Delivered

Truong left Kuala Lumpur with the Women's Doubles title, partnering Jessie Irvine to a 5-11, 11-5, 11-6 comeback win over Sahra Dennehy and Danni-Elle Townsend in the final. In a post after the win, Truong thanked her sponsors and partners directly, Kamito among them.

Two of Kamito's own Malaysia Youth athletes medaled in the tournament's junior categories. Ethan Chan won the Men's Singles U18 title outright, and Jaymie Zi Xuan Ngow took bronze in Women's Singles U18, competing on home ground for the host nation.

A Team Entry Model, Not a One Off

Kamito's Global Team framing, several athletes from different countries entered under one brand at a single major event, is a deliberate strategy for maximizing visibility rather than a one off sponsorship post. The KL Cup result, a senior title and two junior podiums from the same roster, is the kind of concrete outcome that model is meant to produce.
