Pickleball’s growth across Asia is no longer just a recreational trend it is rapidly becoming a serious sports business movement.

From packed community courts to international tournaments and major brand investments, the sport has exploded across the region since late 2024. Now, attention is shifting toward the next challenge: building a sustainable ecosystem that can support pickleball’s long-term future in Asia.

That is where the Asia Pickleball Summit 2.0 (APS 2.0) comes in.

Organised by ReSkills alongside co-organisers AFA and APTV, APS 2.0 will take place on 6 and 7 June 2026 at the Hextar World Exhibition Hall, Empire City in Kuala Lumpur.

The two-day summit aims to bring together the people shaping pickleball’s future from federation leaders and court operators to investors, brand founders, media personalities, and professional athletes.

Malaysia’s Minister of Youth & Sports to Attend as Guest of Honour

One of the event’s major highlights is the attendance of Yang Berhormat Dr. Mohammed Taufiq Bin Johari as Guest of Honour.

His participation signals growing recognition of pickleball at the national sports governance level and reflects Malaysia’s increasing role in Asia’s pickleball development.

For many within the industry, government support represents a key step toward helping the sport scale sustainably through stronger infrastructure, wider participation, and regional collaboration.

The Minister’s presence also reflects how quickly pickleball has evolved from a grassroots movement into a sport attracting serious national and international attention.

More Than a Conference : A Full Pickleball Industry Experience

APS 2.0 is designed as a complete pickleball ecosystem event, combining conference talks, live exhibitions, networking opportunities, and on-court experiences across multiple programme areas.

At the centre of the summit are the Conference Talks & Panel Sessions, featuring more than 20 international speakers across 16 deep-dive sessions. Topics will cover sport development, federation growth, business strategy, investment opportunities, and the future direction of pickleball across Asia.

Featured speakers include:

  1. Collin Johns
  2. Kimberly Koh
  3. Arvind Prabhoo
  4. Jimmy Tan
  5. Park JaeYeon
  6. Josh Jenkins
  7. Tony Ho
  8. Gee Ci Long

The summit will also feature founders and leaders from across Asia’s growing pickleball business scene, highlighting how quickly the sport is evolving beyond competition and into a larger commercial ecosystem.

Exhibition Booths, Product Demos, and Live Pickleball Courts

Beyond the conference hall, APS 2.0 will showcase more than 20 exhibition booths featuring paddle brands, court solution providers, technology companies, and service businesses connected to the sport.

Two dedicated pickleball courts inside the exhibition zone will host live exhibition games and hands-on product demos, allowing attendees to test paddles and experience new equipment firsthand.

Organisers describe the exhibition area as a place “where business meets play”, combining networking opportunities with live gameplay experiences throughout the event.

Outside the main hall, sponsored outdoor courts by Playa Racquet Club will remain open across both days, giving attendees opportunities to play, network, and connect with fellow industry leaders between sessions.

Why APS 2.0 Matters for Asia’s Pickleball Future

As pickleball continues growing globally, APS 2.0 positions itself as one of Asia’s most important conversations about the sport’s future.

The summit aims to address key questions surrounding infrastructure, investment, federation development, and long-term sustainability while encouraging collaboration between countries and organisations across the region.

For media organisations and content creators, APS 2.0 will also offer direct access to policymakers, international speakers, market insights, and emerging industry trends shaping pickleball’s next phase.

According to organisers, the summit’s mission is clear: bring the right people into the same room to help transform pickleball’s momentum into a long-term legacy for Asia.
