Thai Pro Ramon Narula Signs With 002 Pickleball Club & Academy

002 Pickleball Club & Academy has signed its fifth new name in just over three weeks. Ramon Narula, a Thailand-based pro who plays at the 5.0+ level, joins as the academy's first international signing, and will compete for 002 in both Malaysia and Thailand.

Narula's own record backs up the billing: gold in the 2026 Thailand Open 19+ Mixed Doubles Open, gold in the 2026 PPA Hong Kong 35+ Mixed Doubles Open, silver at the 2025 PPA Panas KL 35+ Mixed Doubles Open, and two more golds across the 2025 Thailand Open Men's 35+ and the 2025 Bangkok 002 Tournament.

A Fifth Name in Three Weeks

Narula is the latest addition to a roster build that started 21 July, when 002 signed Irshad Mustafa ahead of the APP Penang Open and brought on Geraldine Loh-Francis as Director of Strategies the same day. Lim Ze-Young followed a day later. Four days after that, Dickson Ng signed on 22 July and won the APP Leapmotor Penang Open on 25 July, a three-day turnaround from new signing to tournament champion.

Narula's own path to the academy ran through the same tournament. On 23 July, before any formal signing, he and Irshad were already competing together as "Team 002," advancing from the Round of 64 to the Round of 16 in the APP Penang Open Men's Doubles Pro Division, Irshad's first Round of 16 finish in an APP Pro Division event. The formal signing on 14 August turns that on-court partnership into an official one.

Playing Across Two Markets

The academy says Narula's tactical experience will help develop its other pro players, not just add another name to the roster. Competing for 002 in both Malaysia and Thailand also gives the academy a cross-border presence it didn't have before, backed by partners including AC Hotels by Marriott Ipoh, Base Pickle & Padel Club, Gearbox, and Selkirk Sport Malaysia.
