Philippines Juniors Reach the Podium at Asia's First PPA 1500
Andrew Lee"First PPA. First international tournament. First podium." That is how Gentle Pickle announced silver for Yuan Solon and Morris Mesiona in Men's Doubles 18U at the PPA Asia 1500 Hang Seng Bank Hong Kong Slam 2026 at Kai Tak Arena.
The pair played as Team Friday Juniors PH, per the post's hashtags. Gentle Pickle said they were tested by a really strong field, including players with previous PPA podium finishes, and "kept battling all the way to silver".

The Slam is the first PPA 1500 in Asia, played at Kai Tak Arena from 19 Oct to 25 Oct, per the PPA Tour Asia page. The silver came in a junior division of that same event.
Friday marked its Philippines entry with a launch event on 16 and 17 May 2026, SubSelfie reported. It was held at 5th Ave. Central, Bonifacio High Street, in BGC. Gentle Pickle describes itself on its website as "The Philippines' Pickleball Shop", and its post for this result uses the hashtags #FridayPickleballPH and #GentlePickle.
