Pickleball is stepping into the spotlight once again this time as one of the flagship activities under the Rancakkan Madani Bersama Malaysiaku programme. As Malaysia continues embracing sports that strengthen community bonds, pickleball stands out as the perfect fit: easy to learn, fun to play, and truly accessible for all ages.

And in true Malaysian fashion, this initiative is more than just a sporting event. It’s a celebration. A gathering. A movement built on connection, inclusivity, and healthy living.

A Collaboration That Elevates Community Sport

The programme is brought to life through a meaningful partnership between the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) and the Pickleball Association of the Federal Territory of Putrajaya (PUPA). Together, they’re driving a mission to introduce pickleball to more Malaysians while giving newcomers and seasoned players alike a platform to engage, learn, and compete.

As the official implementing body, PUPA will be taking charge of all pickleball segments throughout the event from technical facilitation to on-ground activation ensuring a smooth, exciting experience for every visitor who picks up a paddle.

Rakan Muda Aktif Madani Pickleball Championship: Where Youth Take the Court

One of the headlining attractions is the Rakan Muda Aktif Madani Pickleball Championship, a youth-centric competition crafted to encourage active participation and promote a healthier lifestyle among young Malaysians.

With strong interest expected from players across diverse backgrounds, this championship aims to spark a new wave of youth involvement in pickleball shaping not only skilled players but also a generation grounded in sportsmanship, teamwork, and community values.

Three Open Categories for the Public

Beyond youth competition, the event also opens its doors to the wider community through three open categories:

  • Men’s Doubles
  • Women’s Doubles
  • Mixed Doubles

These categories invite players of all ages and skill levels to step into the thrill of friendly competition. Whether you're a first-timer or a regular court-goer, this is your chance to experience pickleball in an energetic, communal environment.

Pickleball Clinic: Your Introduction to the Game

Curious about pickleball but not sure where to start? The event features a fully guided Pickleball Clinic, designed to help beginners understand:

  • Basic rules
  • Fundamental strokes
  • On-court movement
  • Game etiquette

Led by experienced coaches and facilitated by PUPA, this clinic ensures that anyone from kids to adults can walk away with the skills and confidence to join the fun.

Special Exhibition: Leaders on the Court

Adding a unique flavour to the programme is a Special Exhibition Segment featuring participation from senior government officials. This symbolic showcase highlights Malaysia’s commitment to building a healthier society starting from the top — encouraging more Malaysians to adopt an active lifestyle and demonstrating that pickleball truly is for everyone.
