ReSkills Pickleball Renames Itself School of Pickleball in Petaling Jaya

ReSkills Sports Arena in Petaling Jaya has renamed itself School of Pickleball, moving under a new handle, @schoolofpickleball.pj, and repositioning from a court-booking venue into a coaching-first destination with guided drills, clinics, and structured programs.

A Rebrand That Circles Back to Where ReSkills Started

The new name reads less like a pivot and more like a return. ReSkills first launched as an online learning platform connecting learners with coaches worldwide, before moving into sports sponsorship, basketball in 2020, volleyball in 2023, and pickleball in 2024, which the venue itself has described as something it "accidentally stumbled upon." School of Pickleball puts coaching and structured learning back at the centre of the brand, closer to that original identity than the sports-arena model it has run for the past two years.

The rename lands alongside a real programming shift too, coaching sessions, clinics, and workshops for players from complete beginners to those chasing a structured improvement path, not just a change of name.

Bigger Than One PJ Venue

ReSkills has been building institutional credibility well beyond the court. Its team shared its vision for growing the sport in Malaysia directly with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Youth and Sports Minister Taufiq Johari during a youth outreach event in Johor in July, and it hosted an IPTPA Level 1 coach certification workshop at its own venue the same month. That combination, government-level visibility plus formal coaching credentials, is a different foundation than most single-location pickleball venues in Malaysia are working from.

School of Pickleball's own launch post is also an open call, the venue is inviting coaches, community or club hosts, event organisers, and anyone with a pickleball idea to help build out its next set of programs.
