Rex Thais Plays in Vietnam, Now Signs With a Vietnamese Shoe Brand
Andrew Lee"From the start, I wanted to partner with a Vietnamese company." That is how Rex Thais explains his new deal with Fitgon, the Vietnamese sports shoe brand he announced on 6 Oct.
"Officially a Fitgon athlete!" his caption opens, and he adds that representing a brand from Vietnam feels special after playing in the country "with the flag on my sleeve."

What he says about the shoes and the team
Rex says the Fitgon team has been "welcoming and supportive from day one" and that they believe in him. On the shoes, he writes that they are "comfortable on court, and I can move the way I need to when I'm playing fast."
He also looks ahead: he says he wants to grow with Fitgon, share the game with more young players and keep pushing his level on and off the court. He thanks everyone at Fitgon for "the trust and the warm welcome," as well as his parents, partners and coaches.

The signing event
The photos in the post show a signing ceremony, with a backdrop reading "Fitgon x Rex Thais" and "Lễ ký kết đại diện thương hiệu," which translates as brand representative signing ceremony. The same backdrop lists Victoria Fitness & Yoga, DS Sport and atv under "Đối tác," meaning partners. Rex's caption does not give the terms of the deal.

The brand

It lists pickleball, running and walking shoes. Its pickleball range carries two collections, Urban Court and Urban Flow. The Urban Court pair listed on the site, the PinkCloud and the Whitestrike, are each priced at 1,599,000₫.
