RM33 a Paddle or 'a Portion': How Two Pink Paddles Give Back
Andrew LeeTwo limited-edition pink paddles are on sale in Malaysia this October, and they give to breast cancer causes in different ways. Dinklab's Friday Aura Pro Elongated Metallic Pink Prism sends RM33 from every paddle sold to the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA). Vetra's Project Halo Pink Ribbon Edition, at RM1,000, sends "a portion of the proceeds" to the PPUM B40 Breast Cancer Diagnostic Fund. None of the posts reviewed for this piece gives a figure for Vetra's share.

Friday's pink paddle: a fixed RM33
Dinklab launched the paddle on 9 Oct, "specially co-designed by Friday x DINKLAB co-founder: Jacelyne." Its captions say RM33 from every paddle sold goes to BCWA, and that 33 is Jacelyne's lucky number. We covered the launch when it opened.
On 20 Oct, Dinklab posted content featuring actress Emelda and Jacelyne, repeating the RM33 pledge and calling the paddle "a limited edition available exclusively at" Dinklab. The caption points to the Play It Pink Cup on 24 Oct at Brio Social Club, where Emelda is due to appear. Dinklab's 9 Oct caption says the Cup is brought by @timeinternet at Brio Social Club, IPC Shopping Centre.
Pickle Addicts also promotes the Friday Aura Pro Pink Prism
Pickle Addicts posted about the Friday Aura Pro Elongated Metallic Pink Prism on 19 Oct and about the Metallic Pink Prism again on 20 Oct, each with a shop link and the code "ADDICTS." Its 19 Oct caption frames the paddle around Breast Cancer Awareness Month and encourages "regular screenings," but its posts reviewed do not mention a donation or an amount. The RM33 pledge appears in Dinklab's posts; Pickle Addicts' posts reviewed do not mention a donation.

Vetra's Pink Ribbon Collection, from pre-order to MyPickleball
Vetra's collection has moved through several channels in about three weeks. Most of its posts repeat the promise of "a portion of proceeds," and none names an amount. Vetra's collection posts name the PPUM B40 Breast Cancer Diagnostic Fund as beneficiary. The Star, reporting on a separate October fundraiser for the similarly named UMMC-PPUM B40 fund (Vetra's posts do not mention it), describes its proceeds as going to "breast cancer diagnostic support for the B40 community."

Our read
Our read: both paddles tie a limited edition to a named cause, but only Dinklab's posts turn the pledge into a number. Its 9 Oct and 20 Oct captions both state RM33. None of the Vetra or MyPickleball captions reviewed states Vetra's share. A buyer can see what a Friday purchase gives at Dinklab and cannot see, in the posts reviewed, what a Vetra purchase gives.
