Skechers Malaysia delivered its most ambitious pickleball event to date as the fourth annual Skechers International Pickleball Tournament Malaysia Edition 2026 wrapped up with record breaking numbers, international talent, and one of the strongest showcases of the sport’s rapid rise in the region.

Hosted by Skechers Malaysia, this year’s edition was more than just another tournament. It became a clear reflection of how quickly pickleball is evolving in Malaysia, attracting serious players, rising juniors, global competitors, and growing brand investment all under one roof.

Bigger Than Ever Before

The 2026 edition saw an impressive leap forward, welcoming:

  • 1,282 players
  • Participants from 14 countries
  • 29 competitive categories
  • More than 1,600 DUPR rated matches
  • 38 percent growth compared to last year

These numbers made it the largest Skechers International Pickleball Tournament Malaysia has hosted so far, solidifying its place as one of the nation’s premier competitive pickleball events.

The Return of Junior Talent

One of the most exciting developments this year was the return of the Junior Under 18 category.

With 34 young athletes competing, including participants as young as 11 years old, Skechers created an important platform for future stars to gain valuable tournament experience while adding even more depth to the event.

For many spectators, this was a reminder that Malaysia’s pickleball future is already developing at an impressive pace.

RM100,000 Prize Pool Added Serious Stakes

With a total prize pool of RM100,000, competition remained fierce across all divisions.

The substantial rewards elevated the tournament’s prestige while attracting stronger domestic and international participation, making every category feel more competitive and professionally significant.

Star Power at the Press Conference

The official launch also featured a high energy press conference led by Stephanie Chang, Senior General Manager of Skechers Malaysia, alongside Skechers’ official pickleball athlete lineup:

  • Colin Wong
  • Delia Arnold
  • Toi Sieu Ee

Their presence brought additional excitement while reinforcing Skechers’ growing role in supporting professional athlete development within the sport.

Performance Footwear Took the Spotlight Too

Skechers also used the event to showcase its Viper Court Collection, a performance focused pickleball footwear line that continues to gain global credibility.

The collection features:

  • Four performance models
  • Endorsement by the Association of Pickleball Players
  • Approval from USA Pickleball
  • APMA Seal of Acceptance

This product showcase positioned Skechers not only as a tournament organizer, but also as a serious player in pickleball performance innovation.

More Than Just Competition

What made this tournament stand out was its ability to combine:

  • Elite level competition
  • Youth development
  • Brand experience
  • Community building

From international athletes to local first time junior competitors, the event created an atmosphere that felt both highly competitive and deeply connected to the sport’s expanding culture.

Skechers Continues to Shape Malaysia’s Pickleball Future

As pickleball grows across Southeast Asia, Skechers Malaysia is clearly not sitting on the sidelines.

By continuing to invest in large scale tournaments, athlete partnerships, and performance products, the brand is actively helping shape the next chapter of the sport in Malaysia.

The Skechers International Pickleball Tournament Malaysia Edition 2026 was not just bigger than ever. It showed exactly where Malaysian pickleball is heading next, and Skechers is making sure it stays at the center of that journey.
