Tardio Sweeps Men's and Mixed Doubles at the Leapmotor Kuala Lumpur Cup
Andrew LeeWorld No. 1 men's doubles player Gabe Tardio leaves the PPA Asia 1000 Leapmotor Kuala Lumpur Cup with two gold medals, winning both the Men's Doubles and Mixed Doubles titles across the tournament week.
As the top seed alongside Noe Khlif, Tardio took the Men's Doubles final in straight sets, 11-9, 11-4, over Augustus Ge and Len Yang, played in front of a full crowd with Fila, Franklin and JOOLA branding visible courtside.

He then closed out the Mixed Doubles title with a different partner, Jessie Irvine, in a tighter three-game final against Danni-Elle Townsend and Joey Wild. The pair dropped the opening game 5-11 before rallying to win 11-3, 12-10 and seal the title.

The double title caps the opening stretch of Tardio's first-ever Asia Tour, announced by Facolos Malaysia as his Malaysia visit began. Pickle ME and Facolos are following the KL Cup result with two ticketed nights on court with him, a guided-play session at PXP Pickleball Club in Kuala Lumpur on 14 Sep and an exhibition night against Timothy Foo at GOAT Pickle Club in Penang on 15 Sep.

Two finals, two different partners, two titles in the same week is a real standout stat line from a tournament that crowned five separate division champions, and it lands right as the sport's own No. 1 doubles player extends his stay in Malaysia.
