We Compared Malaysia's 3 Biggest Online Retailers: Here's What We Found

Andrew Lee

Malaysia's pickleball retail market has grown fast. Players shopping online can now browse paddles from over 50 brands without leaving home - from JOOLA and Selkirk to specialist brands including Ronbus, Arronax and Paddletek.

The problem is no longer finding a paddle. It is knowing where to look.

To map the market, we surveyed the online paddle catalogues of three Malaysian retailers: MyPickleball, Dink Lab and Picklefox. The study found 755 unique paddle product listings across all three as of 14 July 2026. After normalising brand names - for example, grouping Bantam and Tempest products under Paddletek - the count came to 51 paddle brands.

Each retailer serves a different kind of shopper.

MyPickleball: Widest Selection in Malaysia

MyPickleball is the largest paddle retailer in this comparison, with 462 listings across 42 brands.

Its range covers major names such as JOOLA, Selkirk, CRBN, Franklin, Paddletek and Honolulu. It also carries brands not found at the other two retailers during the research period, including HEAD, Vulcan, Dropshot, Diadem and Everyday Social.

For shoppers who want to compare many brands, shapes and specs in one place, MyPickleball is the natural starting point. Experienced players who know what they want in terms of thickness, core and swing weight will find the breadth useful. Newer players may need more time to work through the options.

Best suited to: shoppers who want the broadest possible choice or are looking for less commonly listed brands.

Dink Lab: Curated and Focused

Dink Lab recorded 126 listings across 19 brands - smaller overall, but still carrying many of the market's leading names: JOOLA, Selkirk, Franklin, Friday, Arronax, Gearbox and RPM.

Dink Lab also stocks several brands not listed by the other two retailers, including Adidas, AMA Sport, OWL and Enhance.

A smaller catalogue is not the same as a weaker one. For players who find extensive choice overwhelming, a more focused assortment can make the search faster and more useful.

Best suited to: players who prefer a curated selection, or are specifically looking for brands such as Adidas or OWL.

Picklefox: Specialist and Emerging Brands

Picklefox recorded 167 listings from 19 brands. Alongside well-known names such as JOOLA, Selkirk, CRBN, Honolulu and Six Zero, it carries specialist brands not found at the other two retailers - Ronbus, Engage, 11SIX24 and unMARKed among them.

For enthusiasts who follow international paddle reviews and want access to performance-focused or emerging manufacturers, Picklefox stands out. If a specific model is unavailable elsewhere locally, there is a good chance it is listed here.

Best suited to: enthusiasts and competitive players looking for specialist or emerging paddle brands.

Nine Brands at Every Store

Nine brands appeared in the catalogues of all three retailers: JOOLA, Selkirk, CRBN, Franklin, Friday, Gearbox, Holbrook, Honolulu and RPM.

Selkirk and JOOLA had the broadest combined presence, with 113 Selkirk listings and 99 JOOLA listings across all three stores.

The same brand, however, does not mean the same selection. One retailer may stock numerous shapes, thicknesses and limited editions. Another may carry only a handful of core models. Check the actual range at each retailer rather than assuming identical availability.

How to Choose Where to Shop

The right retailer depends on what you are looking for.

For the widest assortment, MyPickleball offers the most options. For a more curated range, Dink Lab may be the easier browse. For specialist brands such as Ronbus or 11SIX24, Picklefox is the better starting point.

Before buying, think beyond the brand name. Consider playing style - control, power or all-court balance. Look at paddle shape, sweet-spot size, core thickness, handle length, grip size and swing weight. Factor in price, warranty, return terms, delivery time and current stock.

New players may benefit from contacting the retailer directly before buying. Experienced players who already know their specs will find it easier to compare across all three.

The Market Is There. Use It.

Three retailers. 51 normalised brands. 755 listings. Malaysia's online pickleball retail market already gives players genuine variety.

MyPickleball leads on breadth. Dink Lab keeps it focused. Picklefox covers the specialist end of the market. Together, they serve players across a wide range of budgets, playing styles and experience levels.

The smartest approach is not finding the retailer with the most listings. Start with your playing needs, identify the paddle characteristics that match them, then check which retailer has the right model, stock and service terms.

Research note: Figures reflect unique paddle product pages found in the retailers' online paddle categories on July 2026. An online listing does not guarantee current stock. Prices, availability and product ranges may change.
