Wika's Eight-Player Squad Leaves D-Joy Leg 3 With Four Medals

Four medals, no gold. That is Wika Pickleball Team's own count from D-Joy Tour 2026 Leg 3, the Petrolimex Saigon Cup, which closed in Ho Chi Minh City on 13 Sep: three bronzes in the Open doubles draws (mixed, women's and men's) and a silver in Men's Doubles 35+ Advance. Two of the Four Belong to Roos van Reek

Roos van Reek took third in Pro Women's Doubles with Shelby Bates and third in Pro Mixed Doubles with Jack Munro, in her first tournament as a Wika athlete. Wika held her signing ceremony during the event week, on 11 Sep, and gave her a Vietnamese name, Bich Nu, as part of the announcement. Her run: a round-of-16 win with Munro over Patrick Brian and Trang Huynh (11-6, 11-3), a quarterfinal sweep in the same draw, and a women's doubles semifinal with Bates after beating Anne-Sophie Courteau and Jada Bui. Munro, her mixed partner, went on to win the men's doubles title with Richard Livornese Jr, so van Reek's bronze came alongside the eventual champion in a different draw.

The Silver

Huynh Phuong, whom Wika calls Phuong Ping Pong, finished runner-up in the Advance 35+ division, the only Wika medal outside the Open draws. Wika's post names the player and the division, not the partner.

The Men's Doubles Bronze

Wika's wrap-up does not say who won the men's doubles Open bronze, and Pickle361 is not going to assign it. What Wika's own posts do show is Quang Duong and partner Harsh Mehta reaching the men's doubles semifinals after a 11-6, 11-8 quarterfinal win over Emilien Burnel and Jay Devilliers, following a 11-1, 11-0 round-of-16 sweep. That pair is the Wika entry that got deepest in the draw. The tournament's own bracket, or a later Wika post, would settle whether the bronze is theirs.

Eight Players, One Headline That Was Not a Medal

Wika fielded eight players at Leg 3. The result that travelled furthest was not on the podium: Nguyen Dac Tien and Si Boi Ngoc beat reigning World Cup champion Richard Livornese Jr and Vivian Glozman in the mixed doubles round of 32, which Pickle361 covered in Wika's Dac Tien Upsets a World Cup Champion. Dac Tien also reached the pro men's singles quarterfinals.

Wika's framing of the week is a warm-up.
