Nine Players, Five Golds: Inside Arronax's WPC Malaysia Takeover

Nine of Arronax Malaysia's fourteen entered players walked away from WPC Malaysia 2026 with a medal. Between them they combined for 13 podium finishes, five of them gold, across eight separate divisions at 91 Pickleball Club in Kuala Lumpur.
The tournament, run by WPC Malaysia from 27 to 30 Aug, spanned brackets from open-level doubles down to sub-4.0 rated play, and Arronax's roster medaled across nearly all of them.
Wei Huan, Kingsley Thong, Yvonne Lim and Pei Ting Take Gold
Wei Huan was the roster's biggest single earner, taking gold in both Men's Doubles under 4.0 and Mixed Doubles under 5.0. His own run through the event, including how those two titles came together, is covered separately.
Kingsley Thong shared the Men's Doubles under 4.0 title and added a bronze in Mixed Doubles under 5.0 for a second podium finish. Yvonne Lim won gold in that same Mixed Doubles under 5.0 category, then backed it up with bronze in Mixed Doubles Open, a double podium in one weekend.
Pei Ting rounded out the golds, winning Women's Doubles 4.0, a rated bracket distinct from the open Women's Doubles under 5.0 division contested elsewhere on the roster.
Five More Players Reach the Podium
Michelle Low also finished with two bronzes, in Women's Doubles under 5.0 and Mixed Doubles under 5.0. Choong Kai Le took bronze in that same Women's Doubles under 5.0 category, and Meng Tat medaled in the separate Men's Doubles Open above 5.0 bracket.
Laurel Yong was the roster's only singles medalist, taking silver in Women's Singles under 4.0.
Valerie Tan closed out the medal count with bronze in 35+ Mixed Doubles under 4.5, an age-bracketed division separate from the rest of the roster's results.
A Second Sweep Since Penang
This is not the first time Arronax's roster has medaled in bulk this year. In late July, six of its sponsored players combined for six medals, three of them titles, at the Leapmotor APP Asia Penang Open, a result Pickle361 covered in Six Medals, One Brand. WPC Malaysia is a bigger haul on every count: more players, more medals, more golds.
The roster that produced it is also wider than the nine names above. Arronax's WPC Malaysia team photo lists 14 entered players, and the brand's own Instagram has separately introduced a signed roster of more than 30 players and coaches across Malaysia, under the banner Team Arronax. Nine podium finishes from 14 entries at one tournament is a strong return, not the whole roster peaking at once.
The team's next stop is already set. Arronax confirmed it is entering the PPA Tour Asia 1000 Kuala Lumpur Cup, running 9 to 13 Sept at The Hood, Kuala Lumpur.
