Quang Duong and Roos Van Reek Win VTVcab Open Mixed Doubles in Their First Event as a Pair

Quang Duong and Roos Van Reek won the Mixed Doubles Open at the VTVcab Open 2026 on 20 Sep, in the first official tournament they have played as a pair. The final was billed by Wika Pickleball as a derby inside its own team: Quang Duong and Van Reek on one side, and Đắc Tiến, one of Wika's team athletes, with partner Sophia Phương Anh on the other.

A 15-6 Semifinal, Then a Derby

The route to the final ran through Ho Vu Hoan and Binh Rafa, beaten 15-6 in the semifinal. Đắc Tiến and Sophia Phương Anh came through the other half of the draw with a 15-8 quarterfinal win over Chu Truong Quan and Phan Phuong Linh and a 15-4 semifinal win over Phuong Anh and Hoang Minh Tuan.

Neither Wika nor the Vietnamese press coverage of the day published the final's game scores, though one report described the win as comfortable and put it down to balance: Quang Duong's speed and power against Van Reek's steadiness and experience at the key moments.

The event ran 18 to 20 Sep at the Tiger Vũ Yên pickleball courts in Vinhomes Vũ Yên, Hải Phòng, with more than 1,200 players across 11 events and a total prize structure of 3 billion VND, which VTVcab counts as cash, trophies and sponsor gifts. Van Reek had joined Wika's team days earlier, and this was her first event in its colours, as Pickle361 reported before play began.

Second Mixed Title in Three Weeks, With a New Partner

For Van Reek it was a second mixed doubles title in under a month. On 30 Aug she won the Pro mixed doubles at the OB Masters 2026 in Quảng Ngãi with Lý Hoàng Nam, in three games, for 300 million VND.

The VTVcab Open's Mixed Doubles Open was the richest division at the event, and it paid less: 150 million VND to the champions, 80 million to the runners-up and 30 million to third place, plus trophies and sponsor gifts, per the prize structure VTVcab announced in advance. The two organisers label their top mixed divisions differently, Pro at OB Masters and Open at VTVcab, so the purses are not a like-for-like comparison.

Quang Duong's evening was not over. He went on to lose the Men's Doubles Open final with his brother Bao Duong the same night, a result covered in Pickle361's recap of Wika's VTVcab finishes. Wika has named the Yoshi Open 2026 in Bắc Giang and Bắc Ninh as the team's next stop, with its lineup still to be announced.
