Rail Pickle Sports Depot: The Pulau Sebang Venue Where Trains Roll Past the Courts

Andrew Lee

Rail Pickle Sports Depot in Pulau Sebang sits so close to the railway line that passing trains are part of the game. The venue, with indoor pickleball courts, a futsal court, a pro shop and a courtside cafe, is now featured on the AFA Community court-booking app.

Courts, Cafe and Hot Showers

AFA's walkthrough of the venue describes proper sports flooring, bright lighting and courts set up for both casual games and competitive play. A multipurpose futsal court sits alongside for training sessions and other sports.

Players without their own gear can rent Typti paddles and other paddles on site, and an on-site pro shop stocks equipment and essentials. Between games, Sugar Dust Courtside Cafe serves food and drinks with a view of the courts, and the facility has restrooms with hot-water showers.

Open Since January, Newly on AFA

The depot is not a brand-new opening. Railway Assets Corporation announced the centre on its X account as opened on 23 Jan 2026, and its official opening ceremony followed on 13 Feb 2026, attended by Veerapan Superamaniam, Negeri Sembilan state executive councillor and Tampin assemblyman. What is new is its listing on AFA, which the venue's own Instagram bio now points to for bookings.

For a small-town venue away from the Klang Valley and Penang, that listing puts Rail Pickle in front of AFA's Malaysia-wide booking audience. Its Instagram bio pitches it as the place where Tampin and Pulau Sebang locals play pickleball and futsal.

Where to Find It

  • Address: Plot 63, Kampung Pulau Sebang, 78000 Alor Gajah, Melaka
  • Courts and futsal: open every day, 7am to 1am, per the venue's Facebook page
  • Phone: 011-1088 7277
  • Booking: through the AFA app, where court rates are listed. Rates vary by time slot, so check the current price there before travelling.

The venue does not publish a court count on its own channels. Third-party listings show two indoor pickleball courts, so confirm with the venue before organising a larger group session.
